Dont sell yourself short on the Redstone Signature Visa. When I applied for it, my scores were in the 700's and my bankruptcy was still reporting on all my CR's. I was still instantly approved. Redstone does have a recon department. Unless something has changed, their underwriting is all done in house. Redstone has a personalized loan option page where it will show the your preapproval products available to you.
It seems every financial institution is having fraud issues. It even happened to me with Redstone. I had a fraudulent charge attempted on my debit card, a card never used. I keep all my credit and debit cards locked until they are used. I don't use Zell and only use PayPal and PP MCcharges that's linked to a checking account that is only used for PP transactions. I also disabled facial recognition and passwords must be manually entered.

@unsungivy I came across that while researching the Redstone Visa Signature — definitely unfortunate 😅. I haven’t looked into the CareCredit MC yet, but that could fill a few gaps, so thanks for pointing it out. Long term, I’m leaning toward either a hybrid approach or focusing on cashback to reinvest into my future. I don’t have any hotel or airline loyalties at the moment, and I don’t mind annual fees as long as I’m getting value from the card
@FICOdawgThanks for the info — I really appreciate it. I’m fairly young and working on building wealth, and credit cards have become a fun side project along the way. I’m mainly looking for cards I can keep for the long haul. The Prime Card is nice, but I don’t use Amazon much. I’ve also looked into the Fidelity Visa, but I haven’t determined where my brokerage account will be yet.
Way back when I started with a credit union, I got a car loan and CC through them. That kicked off my credit journey.
Look into Robinhood if you haven't already. I finally smartened up but man I wish I could go back and invest more money during my 20s.

Unless you're talking about the Robinhood CC (which I have been on the wait-list for for over a year now), discussion about them really belongs elsewhere... but my experience with them since Nov has been good as well.
@GuyatthebeachYeah, I’ll definitely give that a shot once I hit my one-year mark. Worst case, I take a hard pull and apply for a friendlier card
@FICOdawg I saw that Robinhood is offering a Roth IRA match, which looked pretty intriguing. I still need to dig into the details though. Robinhood CC is bound to get nerfed by the time I apply and get off the waitlist 😅
@unsungivy I looked into the CareCredit MC—looks like it may have been nerfed. It’s just 2x on health & wellness now and 1x on everything else. I believe dawg was referring to the brokerage side of it.
@Titans If your looking for a travel card this one does not have annual fee. I just got the card.

We are obviously talking about credit cards and OP already found it, good grief.
If someone is young and diligent a decent chunk of change could get dumped into their investments from everyday CC spend over 30 years.

It hasn't been nerfed, it's that the new points don't go into effect until August, according to the emails and notices everyone has received.
Big picture of the MyFico "Roadmap"
@Guyatthebeach With the Brighter Days Saving do you keep 2k in the account for the 4.58% or do you go above that for the .25%. I've been looking at the Discover HYSA for the 3.5%

So, Kf, are we driving into the page or out of the page?
