@Guyatthebeach With the Brighter Days Saving do you keep 2k in the account for the 4.58% or do you go above that for the .25%. I've been looking at the Discover HYSA for the 3.5%

Check out Affinity FCU's HY checking account at 5.5%  on up to 15k. (monthly transfers or direct deposit required, 12 swipes a month required).

I am driving "north" and have very little traffic,  lots of traffic on the other side of the road.

If they would just stop nerfing my better cards, I could stop getting new ones to replace what has been lost.  Was content with all on the uncapped USAlliance, then the uncapped AOD, then the Alliant, now the Smartly.  (3 nerf's over ~ 6 years)

One card for 2.5%+ for all my spend is all I ask, don't like the card shuffling, card for gas, another grocery, etc.  Have three 5%, not for the money just needing something when the next nerf hits and fico reporting bs ...   Then it will be three 5% + non category 2%, unless I find another 3-4%, non category card.

Won't see me with 15+_ 5% cards, shuffling spend, rewards, etc.

Would love a true three card only set.  (Just a dream)

Well is true for  the moment, with the Smartly, but I know the future from the past.    Smiley Wink

Ah, so the picture is that you start with a million cards, and whittle it down to a clean line-up!

A ten year map, the 40 year version would be a round trip.

When I first found this forum I had 3 cards and 850 Fico's, grew to ~15 cards chasing rewards, now going back down.

A true "MyFICOer's Tale"

Re: Roadmap help?

@Titans  If you are considering a high yield savings account here is a link to help you.https://www.depositaccounts.com/savings/

you will need to adjust the search settings to where you are. Do your research.

Some one suggested a high yield checking account. Here is one that you do not have the debit card swipe requirements. The yield is close but the balance that the rate is paid is less.

Also if Axos Bank comes up be careful in order to get that rate there are many hoops to jump through

Re: Roadmap help?

As others have already said: If your first card is a Freedom Rise, you are definitely going about this the right way.

I can recommend the AAA Daily Advantage Visa you mentioned leaning towards, especially since you also said you don't think the Amex BCP would be that good a fit for you.

Re: Roadmap help?

@unsungivy I'm not too big on the swipes per month. But thank you for the recommendation
