You might want to consult the creditpulls database.

Agreed.

Remember, it isn't always just about score.  There are deal-breakers depending on lender.  A common one with Chase is the 5/24 rule, where people that are under 5/24 with a 650 score may be approved for the Slate, where me with an 840 score may not because I'm at or above 5/24.  If you consult the credit pulls database as suggested above, you'll often find comments to the right that let you know more about the person's profile that was approved/denied aside from just their score.

Fo' shizzle.  For example, because of my December 4-card spree, Cap One won't even look at me right now.

Re: SCORE NEEDED FOR CHASE SLATE

If you have opened 5 or more new credit cards in the past 24 months (from any issuing bank), you will not be approved for a new credit card from Chase.

Re: SCORE NEEDED FOR CHASE SLATE

It's worth noting 5/24 doesn't apply to every single chase cards, just their main lineup (non-cobranded cards: Sapphire, Freedom, Ink, and Slate cards) and some of their cobranded cards (Marriott [personal, but apparently the business version is exempt], United, and Southwest [for these 2 airlines, the personal and business cards are subject to 5/24]).

All other Chase cards should be unaffected, including the Amazon, Disney, AARP cards, and the rest...although I was denied on the Amazon card for too many recent open accounts/too many requests for credit, so...just cuz a card isn't 5/24 doesn't mean you won't be denied for a similar reason, it's still up to the discretion of the people reviewing your application and credit profile.

Re: SCORE NEEDED FOR CHASE SLATE

does  a 650 EQ score & 660 EX score get you a slate with 5000 limit or have to start fresh. Less than 5/24 now.

Re: SCORE NEEDED FOR CHASE SLATE

Again, it's not just about score.  Two people with 650-660 scores can have wildly different profiles... one that Chase likes and one that Chase hates.

Re: SCORE NEEDED FOR CHASE SLATE

Does being on Chase's blacklist from 4 years ago have any bearing on approval? i was bad on their ChexSys Early warning.

Also have 3 inquiries in last 2 years for REVOLVING ACCOUNTS only and 3 for Auto inquiry.

I want to believe in applying 5/24 rule that only revolving accounts matter.
