Thanks for saying about Amex.
Amex on the preapproval site does say
"kevin, we have found the following Pre-Qualified Card offers for you.
These offers are only available here. We invite you to apply for one today" But I still don't know if it is a real preapproval as I haven't taken the inquiry hit yet to figure it out.
I paid my UTI down from 11% to 1% so I was gonna try once the new UTI reported to be sure. But is this a real preapproval? It says I am prepapproved for
Blue Cash Every Day from Amex, Amex Every Day Credit Card, and Amex Green Card. If this is a real preapproval I would love to have one but I was gonna wait to apply till the new UTI reported.

My current cards I have are Credit one bank Visa $1,000, Credit one bank Mastercard $1,000 Capital One Visa $1,000 and Discover IT $1,200
I have 0 store cards so far. Also if I should apply for one which stores use Fico 08 EX or TU?
No, it will not help your score or your credit mix. Stay away.

Yes, for the most part the AMEX prequal page is pretty solid on their offers. Just remember though that just because you're prequalified doesn't necessarily mean you'll get approved YMMV as always.
Oddly enough, I just received the Amex BCE card in the mail and the "Understanding Your FICO" page under the "key factors that adversely affected your FICO Score" was:
Amongst other petty things lol Just found it interesting that was listed and the OP seems to be thinking about applying for Amex.
Kamina that is funny. It is interesting they specifcally said no Retail accounts.
If you want the card, get it. Enuf said
You guys were not kidding about Credit One! I was gonna try for a score boost for next month by using the Pay all cards to zero but 1. Unfortunately I went to pay extra payments on my Credit One cards and it makes me reverify my bank account to make extra payments and since I had my bank verified with them over a year ago I cannot find the small deposits that were made so that I can reverify. I asked customer service why this is so and she said because your paying your cards again after you already made payments.
I have to wait for next billing cycle to make payment. The way they add the fee after I make my payment I have no way of using the pay all cards to zero but 1 method unless I want to pay the extra fee to use my debit card. I will be happy to get rid of Credit One very soon.
I would advise no as well. Sometimes I regret getting the Amazon retail card and Nordstrom card even though I shop there alot. I did get them at the time to help build my profile but if I could go back in time, I would have avoided them.

Did you try pushing the payment from your checking account? That may work out better for you instead of making your payment through Credit One's site.
