Since I am not allowing myself to apply...

I have decided to go through and try to clean up my reports as much as possible.  Many years ago after my BK I was added as auth user on a ton of accounts and some are joint.  I am now going through and deleting myself from all the auth user accounts because they account for about 70% of my debt showing on the credit report.  I'm also currently fighting with Capital one for re-aging my account by 3 years.

I hope it all helps!

Interesting... I just went to dispute stuff on my EQ report and not a single account that I am just auth on are appearing.  Does EQ just not honor Auth accounts like TU and EX do?

Re: Since I am not allowing myself to apply...

I'm still showing as AU on DXH's card, even though I took myself off of it in January. Of course, it's not updating any more (although it is on Experian.)

But I do remember a flurry of posts toward the beginning of the year that AU accounts weren't showing up specifically on EQ. Then it all sort of died down.

Do the AU accounts show on your myFICO report (and are included in your util), but not on your full EQ report? That wouldn't make any sense at all, as the score is calculated off the full EQ report, not the version that comes with our FICO scores.

I have over 16 INQ on all 3 of my reports, I think we need to bring that number down to around 3!

Hauling, I don't want to pull a fico EQ until my disputes come in, so not sure if they are on it or not

So which report are you looking at, where the AU's don't show up?

Wow, if they're not on the full EQ report, I don't see how they could be affecting your util. Your FICO score is generated off the full report. (Which is comforting when accounts show up twice, etc., on a myFICO EQ score report. It's not being used.)

yes which makes me wonder why my EQ is lower then my other 2 scores considering my EQ shows me in about 40k less debt!

Well, if you've got any lates on there, EQ hits harder for lates than do the other two, at least in my experience.

eta: anyway, I should have added congrats for the decision to clean up your reports for now. It's always good to get off stuff that doesn't belong there!
