Statement Date and Due Date Question

Good afternoon, everyone!

Since I know this topic has been explained numerous times, please forgive me in advance for the question.  I just want to make sure I am understanding and processing everything correctly.

Say my credit card statement posts on the 1st of the month, for $100.00.

The due date is on the 25th of the month.

Between the statement date and the due date, I rack up around $250.00 in charges.

Should I pay the $100.00 around the 1st of the month, and then plan to pay the $250.00 on/around the 25th?

I apologize if I sound stupid with this..... thanks in advance for your time, I appreciate it!

Re: Statement Date and Due Date Question

If your statement cuts with $100 owed and a due date the 25th you need to pay at least $100 on or before the 25th. You can pay the additional charges on same day if you wish or schedule the payment for the last day of the month so the statement cuts with 0 due. I would also advise the card not be used starting 4 days prior to statement cut to ensure the charges all post before the cut. Good luck Smiley Happy
