I am boring and save mine too Pearl. With my new knowledge of credit here I decided to expand it to all things financial. I opened a Synchrony savings account. I have a small bit of my paycheck auto transfer every pay day and also add all of my cash back. Since it is at a different bank and no longer tied to my checking account, it is finally staying put in the savings account. LOL
Alliant has a lovely high APR savings account, and checking account (but checking expects a ACH transaction monthly)
1.045 % today.... was 0.995 something last month...

I recently redeemed $400 in rewards from Discover with Crutchfield gift cards. Works out pretty well if you're buying electronics. $80 gives you $100 for Crutchfield - so I ended up getting $500 value for $400.
I'm using mine as my vacation fund. $290 and still have till September before i get the double bonus.

Let's get you some ideas for a non-pathetic savings account, shall we?

You'll find an exhaustive list of great options here
+1 for Discover savings. Unless you have a huge amount in the account, the 0.2% difference is worth way less than the customer service from some of those with higher rates.
Also if you don't mind tying up your money Capital One 360 is 1.30% for 12-month CD with no minimum.
