Hopefully nothing changes for you financially because both of those lenders will take AA swiftly. Citi will do it so fast your head will spin and they can be extreme. Best case scenario is they only balance chase you to a certain amount. And Citi has no problem telling you to your face you're just a number on their spreadsheet.

You're too new a member. Once you level up you'll gain access to the signature area. There are threads in smorgasbord to walk you through different ways to pretty up your siggy.
@SchnauzerMan wrote:I really thought Synchrony Bank viewed me as a valued cardholder, but obviously I was completely delusional. I had 23 opened accounts with Sychrony Bank and all were in great standing! Never late, and all balances were paid in full each month. My credit really took a hit because all 23 accounts still were closed on the same day. I have called Synchrony Bank on several occasions to discuss the matter, but all you get in return is vague and rude replies as to why this action to close all of my accounts was taken. The ONLY awnswer given is that I am viewed as a "Credit Risk." I really enjoyed all of my store credit cards that I had with Sychrony Bank for the store rewards. In order to participate and receive these awards you must have a store credit card for that store that is issued by Synchrony Bank! It really seems as though Synchrony Bank has a monopoly on the majority of store credit cards available! Has anyone else experienced this problem, and how long do I need to wait before I can reapply for some of the store credit cards!
Sorry that happened.
If I were you I would stay away from them, and just make use of major credit cards.
In my opinion they do this to accounts like yours to dress up their financial statements; by closing the accounts Synchrony quickly reduces its loan loss reserves, which act as an expense in their financial reports.

That's probably because you're presently a "New Member".
Once you're moved up a notch, then I believe you'll be able to do it.
You put the code in your signature in your profile settings.
BTW... Welcome to the forum
23 accounts with Sync definitely put you in "The Red Zone". Honestly surprised you made it as far as you did.
@SchnauzerMan Based on what we have seen in past few years, number of accounts with Sync is not as important as total CL you have with them! So what was your total credit limit before they closed everything?
They are known to close all accounts if your total exposures with them gets too high of their liking.
Yes 23 store cards are aggressive let alone all from Sync and there are many other cards you can get that gives you better rewards from the same stores, but its not you! It's Sync and they are notorious for doing this for past few years.
23..... I'm shocked.

What do you mean, "balance chase" ?
I fully expect ANY company to tell me I'm just a number to them. What else would I be?
Balance chase means when creditors reduce your limit to the amount you owe, may even continue doing it until you pay off the entire balance and your account gets closed by them.
@SchnauzerMan wrote:It's very easy to have 23 credit cards with synchrony bank because they do all of the store credit cards like Amazon, Lowes, Care Credit, Haverty's, Harbor Freight, JC Penny, TJ Max, and countless more. I never ever carried a balance on any of my store credit cards. The reason why I had so many store credit cards is for the fact that you have to have their store credit card in order to participate in their rewards program!
That's not true. You can be a part of a store's rewards program without having their card. Their card may give additional benefits, but you can still participate in their program, at least at a basic level.
