Thanks everyone. Dont want to beat a dead horse or anything ( whatever that means) but im still a little uncertain. I currently suscribe to Transunion , vantagescore, i know i know
,and Credit Check Total, after having Experian credit tracker. Normally when i check my report(s) which is almost daily, i just see
1) Account summary
2) personal info
3) inquiries
4) accounts
5) public records
@Havent really seen anywhere to see soft pulls . Havent tried my free reports yet either. Is it like here @ My Fico where i believe tlyou can order each report separetly or all three. Im very interested to be able to see who soft pulls me as it can let you know if you may have chance in future with certain creditor or in this case to see if we are pushing limits with Synch and are ever loving quest gor those pesky Cli'sThanks again. Love the info learned here...
It would be under the Inquiries section. It's not necessarily shown on all versions of your report. I recently purchased my Experian credit report and credit score from MyFico and the inquiries section only listed my one hard pull, no soft pulls were listed (a 'pull' is an inquiry by the way. Soft pull = soft inquiry). There's also a little note on the report that reads, "Inquiries not considered by the FICO® score are not listed here, such as inquiries that result from obtaining your own credit reports and FICO® scores." That's basically saying soft pulls aren't listed since soft pulls/inquiries do not affect FICO scores.
By contrast I'm looking at an older TransUnion credit report I had saved from last year that I got through a credit monitoring service. On that report under the Inquiries section it lists "Reqular Inquiries," which are hard pulls and "Promotional Inquiries," which are the soft pulls.
So it depends on the report you're looking at. It sounds like if they were listed on the reports you've been looking at you probably would have found them.

I have both WM store & MC. Several times this month I used them to check my TU score, to monitor damage. I used something I read on this forum to refresh scores which is probably why I have so many SP's.
+1000. Emma, you have completely solved the puzzle. Thank you!
Synchrony SPs me like crazy! They have been doing this for the last 2 years - multiple times per month most months. They SP me more than any other lender, with Cap1 coming in 2nd.
Edited to add that I do not use them to pull my TU, so this is definitely not the issue for me.

Hi could you let me know how you can verify if a lender is softing you? . Still learning and i believe from what ive read around here you maybe referring to have to actually pull your reports from your free annual credit report to see soft pulls ?Any info on this is greatly appreciated!Hi, if you pull a full TU, EX, or EQ report directly from TU, EX, or EQ, you should also be able to see soft inquiries as well as hard inquiries. Normally you will need to pay for the report directly from the credit bureau.
I haven't done the free annual (combined) reports in years because the last time I did (several years ago), it did not seem to include all of the information for some reason. Since I haven't pulled the free report for some time, I cannot say if the free annual reports currently include this. Possibly the combined reports may truncate some information.
I do know that the paid, individual reports you purchase from each bureau directly do include this information (these are the individual, not the combined reports). I have one of each in front of me right now and am reviewing them. Hope this helps.
It should... It does for me
@Anonymous wrote:Has anyone been softed (account review) on TU multiple times in a month by Synchrony lately? I have 4 Visas with them and my Walmart store card as well, so they could certainly be softing for each, but wanted to know if anyone else had been softed by them multiple times in a month lately.
Just like to keep on top of things. Please let me know. Thanks!
With SP's I typically ignore them.... I have like 4 cards with them being my Amazon Store card, American Eagle Visa and my Ebay Visa cards and have SP's with them. Most of them fall in line with a CLI request or an upgrade to Visa with my AE card.
I happen to have pulled my full Equifax and TransUnion reports today. I have Synch soft pulls on on my TU report. The SP's prior to January are likely related to CLI requests on multiple cards. But I also have them for February and April. It's only a couple and I haven't requested any CLI's this year. So I guess they are just general reviews.
ive requested multiple CLI's diffrent cards in a month. I actually did sams club 3 times in 1 month.
