LOL I would question the first part of that.  Seems like half the people with store cards now have limits that are multiples of my card!

I have! My $2k credit limit was increased to $7k and they will be converting my card to a Target MC as of 10/2018.

Just out of curiosity, is the MC version of the Redcard also Chip & Pin like the store card version?

Same thing happened to me. My CL was 700, then 1500, then 2200... and a month ago it jumped up to 9,000!! Last week I got my automatic upgrade letter. I’m worried it’ll be a hard inquiry on my credit report, which wouldn’t be cool. I didn’t ask for the upgrade.

To those who have gotten the big jump on your CL and/or the MC upgrade, have you seen in which bureau any HP or SP was made? I’m coming up on my 5 year anniversary with my card and it has grown from $300 to $2100 via auto-CLIs but my scores were overall stagnant and not good the entire time - only over the last 4 months have I been doing a rebuild. Today I will be paying off 3 medical debts that will leave me with a clean TU and a clean except for one EQ. I’m finishing my payoffs of baddies this month and due to the NY Purge Law, I’ll be 100% clean across all three bureaus. I’m expecting scores to go up considerably and wondering which bureau they look at, in anticipation of the ability to get a bigger CLI next time and potentially qualify for MC upgrade.

I haven't had a HP either.  I'm not sure which bureau they do SPs from.
