They based it off my "shopping pattern". I forgot about it until a week later and called late one night to inquire if this was actually correct and not a pre-qualification. The lady on the phone said no and told me to just take my license and the receipt to the store. I did it first thing the next morning when the store first opened so it would not be that many people in the store. I got my account right there with a temporary card. It was the first one the store had received so they were just as excited as I was. I did get an increase 2 months later from the initial $200 up to $500. I have to bring my balance back down and get my self back on track and hopefully by end of year i will get another increase.

Seriously, Jenna! Since you had some "unplanned off-road excursions" in app'ing, why don't you let it go for now? Target stores aren't going to suddenly vanish off the face of the earth, and you wound up with some other cards instead, anyway.
I had a hard time several months ago resisting the excitement of all the app'ing stories here, and I knew it wasn't time to app yet. So I made a plan on Notepad of what cards I wanted, why I wanted them, and what it would take to get them. I saved them to the desktop, and literally every time I logged on here, I reviewed the whole list. This kept me focused and on track, and my scores have benefited big time.
I know that on another post you were pretty regretful about your app'ing binge. Maybe keeping a plan on your desktop will help. Hope you don't mind --I'm not meaning to scold.
