I was on my online account and I saw that I have some offers that are pre approved. I don't know if it's a SP or a HP. When I call the credit team they said they don't know you have to try. Then they said we don't do credit offers. I dunno what to say. This is what I show. The second has a star that said pre approved. I don't get it.
If it were me I would presume that there would be a hard pull to get the loan or credit card. If I am wrong it is good thing ie no hard pull. A pre approval is you passed in broad brush strokes the qualifications for the products shown i.e. your credit score is in a certain range. The hard pull is for obtaining new credit that part of underwriting is more detailed check.

All my credit unions have offers for car, personal loans, balance transfers, and new cards based on soft-pull scores.
Most have a HP for a new loan, car, or card.
Sure some use a SP for a card or BT, loans are usually HP. (YMMV)

I know this interface well, those would be HP if you applied, subject to manual underwriting
if it said pre-approved, it could be a SP
I am a member. I had these offers too. I can confirm that it will result in a hard pull. They seem to be very conservative. This hard pull resulted in my 4th inquiry over the last year as I opened one other card and bought a new car over the last year. I had 5 inquiries showing over the last two years. 750 FICO at the time, AAOA 5.5 years. No lates, prior delinquency, or collections. I was declined for excessive inquiries. The inquiries within the last year was 1 90 days ago, and the other 2 8 months ago. I called to recon and was told no quickly. Good luck if you apply.
