Time limit on AMEX PC?

My AMEX Green got approved last week and it should be in the mail Monday or Tuesday. I realize now I should have app'd for the Gold card. Will amex do a PC this early?

Just as a heads up, I just called and they said I had to wait 13 months to PC or Upgrade or else I would have to full out a new application.

I also apped for an Amex only to wish I had chose a different product after.  Last month I app'd for the ED card, but after reading more and more thought I'd been better off going for the BCE since I don't travel a lot and the MR points are not worth as much as the Cash rewards of the BCE if you're not aiming to take advantage of transfering the MR points over to the travel agencies.  Anyway...I agree, I too was told you would have to wait at least 13 billing cycles before I would be able to PC to a different card, but could go ahead and app again now if I wanted them both without having to wait to PC:/
