Timing CLI's

When people talk about 6 month CLI requests, is that 6 months from approval date or card activation date?

I would say from activation, not all cards cut a statement if you hadn't used the card one of those months and it had a 0 balance. My Comenity issued Gordman's card is like that.

to be safe i'd say wait until 6 months from activation. Many times the first statement is shorter than a full month, so if they're going by date than the 6th statement will be slightly before 6 months.

With discover they tend to increase on your 3 month anniversary then every 3 months they give u an increase no HP  that's not including the customer initiated ones you're allowed to do!!! "It pays to discover"
