Trying to Raised my Score

Hi Everyone,
For the last year or so I'm trying to raised my score and they're saying theres a few baddie on my report, thats causing my score to stay the same for the last year or so....
I got a 30 days late on my report one CO, and most of my cards are pretty low limits ($800-$3000) and my Ult: is 10%.
They're saying Having low credit limits on your accounts and loans is lowering your score

This Scores are pulled From each Direct Company
EQ:680 EX:706 TU:675

This the scored I pulled today from myFICO:
TU:731
EX:701
EQ:?

So my Question to all is where can I get approved for a loan that I can Raised my limits and get Approved with this scores? and Just got Denial from Discover, and Amex Delta is giving me an answer in the next 7-10 days.

Thanks all.

Re: Trying to Raised my Score

I don't understand why AMEX turned u down when they accepted me with a 620 score & 2 chargeoffs with 1 of them reporting lates every month

Hi, Marvin, welcome to the forums! Your FICO scores are great! And if you got your EQ score directly from them, it should be a FICO as well --check to see if it says FICO and has the gold seal. The other two (EX and TU) are FAKO's.

Did the comments about low limits come from FICO? If they didn't --if they came from your EX or TU FAKO's --don't worry about them for now. Go with the advice on the FICO scores.

How old is your 30-day late, and how old is the CO? Do you have at least one open installment loan? (sounds like maybe you do) --this would include a car loan and mortgage.

Discover and AmEx don't like lates within the last year or two, so they might not have been the ones to go with. I would suggest finding a local credit union, or one of the big ones that you read about here, like Penfed, Justice FCE, CCCU, etc. You can get some really nice credit limits from them. Many CU's pull EQ, although more and more seem to be pulling EX. Hope that helps--good luck!
* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007
