Thank you all for the input. 8 months Orchard Bank $300 limit. 2 years Capital One $750. 4 years 1st Credit Card Macy's $100.
I pulled the Fico last month.
What other cards should I try for. Any Amex ?
Have you called the backdoor and asked for a recon? You have nothing to loose. I was initially delined last month for the Executive World Elite MC due to too many inquiries. I called the backdoor after reading this forum and a few questions and 3 minutes later I was approved with a substantial CL (22K) (I am convinced thhat they looked at my other CL on my CR and gave me a CL in line with those) - Since they already pulled your cr you have nothing to loose by asking for a recon. Just call tommorrow during business hours. The number is on this list.
Thanks Fly. I was planning on it. Would you happen to have the # ?

There's a list of backdoor numbers stickied on these forums.
I used 888-201-4523. Make sure you ask for a senior credit analyst. They have the power to make a decision on the spot. Good Luck
Thanks again for all your help. So I called them and said to fax a updated credit report with the Macys late payment deleted. I have a good faith letter from Macys stating I have never missed a payment in 4 years. How can I get this negative off my report ?
There's a lot of related information available on these forums.

I think you would do better with talking to Macy's about deleting it completely rather than getting them to write a good faith letter. If Macy's feels like you're a great customer, maybe they'll be more than happy to remove the late payments. Citi has pretty strict guidelines on lates and such, so it may not be to your benefit to go with them with those baddies on your report. Have you tried Chase Freedom? Or B of A Rewards? Before going on an app spree, you can check some pre-approval sites, I've found them to be pretty accurate from what I've read on the forums. (Amex has one on their site, and can let you know whether or not they have any offers for you). Your overall credit file seems pretty thin though.
