The subject line in their email really grabbed my attention, as it read "Earn 20% More Cash Back." Unfortunately, it was rather misleading. Still, it's always nice to receive these special offers. I received US Bank's email the same day as PenFed's, with both offers having the same timeline.
I received the same email, but it was nothing that made me want to "whip it out & go ape" (LOL)....
Is this a targeted offer or available to all US Bank Cash + cardholders?
I didn't get the offer, so I tried calling the number on the back of my card to see if I was elgible. No-go. Thanks for posting about it regardless.
I remember back in the day when we were all going nuts over getting the cash plus......now mine gets no love!

It is not a bad card, but comparing it to when it was released in 2012, there have sure been many (almost all bad) changes. I use it for fast food, and pick another random 5% category, but other than fast food, none of them are really "everyday expense" type of things for me, so the card isn't that exciting. If fast food were taken away, it would probably sit in a drawer 95% of the time.
For Q2, I did furniture stores as I anticipate a few IKEA purchases. So it's still a decent card for niche, random purchases, but overall, I only recommend it to people who are sure their spending aligns regularly with what's left of the 5% categories as they have dwindled.

+1 only thing i'm using it is for my cell phone bills for the 5% back, else it will be SD. But I got $40 extra bonus in the past 3-4 months. $5 android and samsung pay, $30 for holiday spend bonus. But this promotion is useless, since i can get 0.3% more CB with my QS card
