@Anonymous wrote:That's a long post/reply for someone that doesn't know anything about this card. Discover is a joke next to this one. How about going and looking at the choices for US Bank cash plus? You should really look at this card as I have yet to meet anyone that does not have electric and water bills and a cell phone bill. These are the ONLY three bills I use this card for that nets 5%.
I'll explain my opinion. Having this card, and for my expenses I was expressing how it does not greatly benefit me each quarter. It's not that the categories are not something that can be used, just how much can be returned with the expense they produce. (5% categories provided in my up post). My UTL, cell and streaming don't run me anywhere near 2K a quarter but I can easily spend 2K in other expense not available as a category. However, Sareen has a good idea I hadn't thought of.
Can you transfer us Bank+ rewards to us Altitude reserve?

No.
Only flex perks points are transferable to AR
This is one of my favorite cards. I get 5% when paying my AT&T internet/wireless bill. I sign up for 2% back on restaurants in case the restaurant I go to does not code as a "fast food."
But comparing 5% back at a max spend of $2,000 against a Discover or other card with a $2,000 spend, the 5% still nets you more with a spend at less than $1,000.
Okay.
Just got my card today and I have a question about ATT. I get Internet thru ATT would this fall under "TV, Internet, Streaming" or "Home Utilities"... Which category will ATT fall under?
On my Chase Freedom Visa it shows up as the following

On my Chase Freedom Visa it shows up as the following
Description ATT*BILL PAYMENTAlso known as AT&TMethod Online, mail or phoneCard number (...xxxx)Category Bills & utilitiesThanks!
You might just have to try it and see... since AT&T's billing back-end is multiple systems cobbled together the coding could vary based on where you are.
Some have reported that AT&T local service triggers 5% back but for me it doesn't:

It looks like for my state they're using the same MCC @K-in-Boston has reported is used by Verizon FIOS. ![]()
(Since this was processed with the recurring transaction flag I might try paying them a few dollars next month to see if a non-recurring charge will code differently.)

Mine codes 5% for AT&T Direct TV under "TV, Internet, Streaming" recurring. Also 5% on cell phone bill and Spotify Premium.
I was denied for this card in August 2019 reason being "too many recently opened accounts in past 6 months" . So I went ahead and opened checking account with them in October.
What are my approval odds now ? I still have 6, 3, 6 enquries in the TU, EQ, EX . 1 account in the last 6 months.
