I can chime in on this. The dashboard for me still shows the Connect image even though everything else has Cash+ characteristics from the rewards to going to the Cash+ main page to choose my two 5% categories and one 2% category. Still no refund on the AF though so looks like I'll be giving them a call right now

 

Should have asked about this when I called yesterday about unable to process cash redemptions of my points

Update

 

Called customer service and while she said the AF would probably be automatically refunded she submitted a request to have it credited back. Asked about why it still shows cosmetically me having a Connect card still and she gave the virtual equivalent of shrugging her shoulders lol

 

Said weird stuff me and @UncleB are talking about

@UncleB, AF got refunded to my account last night. So other than the images/text saying I have a Connect card for some reason still everything else seems to be settled now

Whoo-hoo!  I'm glad you got your $95 back!

 

I'm not surprised about the dashboard still showing the card as a Conntect... this is U.S. Bank we're talking about, after all.  They're barely better than Citi when it comes to IT, LOL.

 

As long as the card works as expected (including earning 5% on two categories) I'll be a happy camper no matter what the dashboard flashes at me.  I figure at some point somebody will hit the reset button on the Apple IIe they have running things and it'll all be sorted anyway.

Alrighty, this is probably (hopefully) my last update, but I have a couple of extra data points that some might find useful.

 

My new card arrived, and as promised it is the right one (Cash+) even though my dashboard is still a bit wonky. 

 

One final observation for anybody doing a PC (at least my experience)... to get to the rewards screen for the new card is tricky, since if I choose 'My Rewards' under the Accounts option on the dashboard drop-down the new account just isn't there.

 

This is what I'm talking about... using this option does not work for the new account:

However if I go directly to the account itself and click the link for 'Rewards details' it works... again, here's what I'm talking about:

The first option (that doesn't work) seems to be a legacy option from the last version of the website, so possibly it's being phased out anyway and the patch letting it work with the new dashboard just can't handle a PC.  Whatever the reason that's fine... I can get to what I need, it's just not intuitive (and something tells me most customer service reps probably have never dealt with this).

 

Oh, I still have a counter to indicate how many months I've had a streaming charge, just like on the Connect.  Again, not going to worry about it as long as the Cash+ behaves as expected.  One more oddity... on the app when I choose 'Manage Card', there's a picture of a Cash+ with the last four digits of my new card, but below that it says "U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature Card."  Maybe eventually this will get sorted, but again no big deal.

 

Speaking of customer service, I have to say they really took care of me on this.  I also received a book of checks for the new account, and the notice read as if I had requested them (I didn't).  I doubt I'll use them, but I appreciate the attention to detail my CSR took in anticipating anything that I might need with the new account (including requesting the AF credit).  For a ~2 min phone call she was extremely thorough. Ok this really is (probably) my last update... I can report that all the various screens are finally showing the account as a Cash+, and no weird 'work arounds' are needed to access my rewards.  This is both online (computer) and via the app... hopefully @simplynoir's account is now showing correctly as well.

 

Interestingly, today when I logged on to the website I got this pop-up:

I have no idea if that's what finally cleared everything up, but in any case all is as it should be. Smiley Happy

 

For anybody considering a PC with U.S. Bank, as long as you're not one to keep a close eye on things it'll be fine.  If you *are* one to check stuff every day or so... well, it's likely to be an exercise in patience, but in time things will be sorted correctly.  For what it's worth, I 100% would do it again.

@UncleB, yes I'm showing the same thing it showed up earlier this month. No clue when it happened but happy I don't freak out every time I see it now. Now if only AR point redemptions would work...

The AF of my Connect got posted a few days ago. I called to do the PC to another non-AF card but the operator said that she can find only one option (Altitude Go). Is there any suggestion to PC it to Cash+?

 

Here are additional info that I asked from operatior:

  • The annual streaming credit of 30$ gets credited after 2 billing cycles.
  • The AF of the card should get paid and it will get refunded within 30 days.

Fico8: EX~EQ~TU~840 (12 month goal~850).
BOA (CCR, UCR), Chase (CFF, CSP, Amazon, CIC, CIU), US Bank (Cash+, AR, Go, Ralphs), Discover, Citi (CCC, DC, SYW), Amex (BCP, HH, Biz Gold, BBC, BBP), Affinity CR, Cap1(Walmart), Barclays View.

HUCA and if that doesn't work you might have to ask for PC to the Cash+ directly instead of asking for options
