I was reviewing my statement, which I never do, and noted at the bottom it says you no longer have to have DD to earn the 2.5% cashback. This is new as of my July statement...just FYI if you have this card.
Good intel. I'm still bitter my application got all messed up due to technical issues when I applied and USAA wouldn't honor it (out of character for them).
Thanks for sharing!
I didn't even know they don't offer this card anymore until today. I went to look for what were considered "qualifying purchases" and found out that way. I am YEARS late ![]()
But now I may move my DD from there to PenFed/DCU...not sure yet.

Out of morbid curiosity, what are you think for moving your DD? Are there benefits for DD to either of those?
Thanks!

To PenFed to avoid the account fee and DCU pays 2 days early. I also had fraud on my USAA account (I was duped by a pretty slick spoofing scheme. Not their fault, of course) so I am a little paranoid about the account for the moment. I may send some to NFCU as well to pay CC bills. I like to move my money around occasionally.

Good catch! I never pay attention to those notes.
"WE RECENTLY MADE CHANGES TO YOUR LIMITLESS CASHBACK
REWARDS CREDIT CARD. NOW YOU WILL EARN 2.5% CASH BACK ON
QUALIFYING PURCHASES REGARDLESS OF DIRECT DEPOSIT STATUS."
I wonder why they did this? I hope this card lives on for years to come.

I wonder why too. I am just glad I got it. They also dropped my apr 1% *shrug* idk what they're doing over there, but I like it!

Great catch, @ambivalent... I'm bad to not look at my paper statements (since I monitor accounts every day or so online anyway), but I just went to look at my last statement and you're spot on!
This notice was on the first page, right above my transactions:

Hey @Gmood1, I know these days you have the AOD Visa, but this info might still be interesting to you as well. ![]()
I'm probably going to leave my own direct deposit alone for now, but it's nice to know I have the option to go elsewhere without messing up my 2.5% cash back with the Limitless!
@ambivalent, I made a minor update to the thread subject to clarify that we're chatting about the DD requirement changing. ![]()

Thanks for letting me know UnkaB!
I missed this post and didn't notice it on the USAA website. I still use my Limitless for general purchases.
Glad they eliminated the DD! Though I still have to transfer funds to the account anyway for certain bills.
