USB PC/combine CL question

So I have a USB Cash+ card and a Platinum. My 0% percent 20 months is over for the Platinum and paid off now. It has no purpose any longer. I called USB and asked if I could move that CL to the Cash+. They said we dont do that but if you want we will upgrade the platinum to another Cash+ card with your current platinum CL or we could upgrade you to the Altitude GO with your platinum CL. No subs at all they said since its upgrade. Not sure I want or need the Altitude but if I ever do I'd rather wait and get it with a sub. Does anybody know or have experience with having 2 Cash+ cards and being able to combine them? My oldest one is 3k and if I upgrade the platinum to Cash+ it would be 11k. Just trying to figure my best option. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They gave you the options they offer. US Bank doesn't do combinations, also known as limit reallocation.

Thanks. I'll have to ponder this one. Maybe I upgrade and have a bigger line Cash+ and just close the smaller one. Would I still qualify to use the 2nd card for 2 more 5% categories and 1 2%?

Yes, you would be able to pick an additional 2 5% categories. Not a bad deal!! There's a few on here with two CP.

If it's a separate card, I wouldn't see why not. I've read about others on this site who do that with 2 Cash+ cards. Just confirm with the bank rep beforehand.
