USBank -- again..

I'm just curious.  I did a search and saw two threads on this Plat Visa, but I thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone else has gotten one of these in the past few days or so.

Pre-qualified offer for USBank Plat Visa
Advertised 'Generous CL'
60 month BTs at 6.99 (3% BT fee applies)
12 month intro APR at 0.00
Standard APR of prime + 7.99
$40 AF - waived with 1 purchase each year

I think it was HTSU and (just slipped my mind) got this offer a month or so ago.

You have much more self-control than I do.  If I got a pre-app in the mail from US Bank, I think I'd frame it.

Yep - That was me...no I didn't bite.  I opted for the Citi Plat Amex. I would've reconsidered but I have vowed not to app until 2010.

It's not that they're so great; it's that they're known for being difficult to get, like Discover and Amex used to be.

What I was saying was that if I got one of those preapprovals in the mail, it would be a good sign that I have "arrived" creditwise.

Is USBank any good as a CC?  I have my checking AC with them

Not to sure. DW has a card and the limit was raised to 8400.00 from 7100.00 or something but the interest was 22.49% for purchase and 23.24% for Advances.

Unfortunately for her was all her charges were Cash advance for a bal of 5400.00 so She called them and they said since you have been a good customer and her fico's are in the low 700's that the would drop the % to 2.99 for 9 months. GREAT!

That was for purchases. The Cash Advance stays at 23.24 Smiley Mad
