Few questions, I've had a secured BankAmericard since '13, it still shows up as secured on my credit report, how does one make that a non-secured card? Should I call BOA Secured line help or a credit analyst.
2nd, I have a standard Capital One w/$300 limit but want a new Capital One, for example a Venture or Quicksilver etc. Is there a way to replace my Cap1 with a newer/more upgraded one without having to close the account or will they just transfer/upgrade from what it is already, thanks.
Same question with Chase, I have a Chase Freedom w/$500 looking to get the CSP. I've been gardening since late '13 and I have 700s across the board, my newly acquired card is an Amex PRG which I read isn't that great, but I'm happy because I'm finally a part of the Amex family, if anyone can answer these curious questions about replacing/upgrading procedure it would most definitley help. I don't want a CLI on these cards because they won't be my main.

1. Call BoA analyst and ask about unsecuring the card
2. send Cap1 a message on FaceBook and they will call you
3. go to Chase pre-qualify site and see what comes up
Chase's prequal is pretty much right on. As is Capital One's, but as mentioned you can message them on Facebook for a more specific response.
The Amex PRG does have some happy cardholders, others get rid it after awhile, but I dont think it's a terrible card.

Right, the PRG isn't terrible, just not particularly valuable for many people after the first year. The AF is quite high, so keep it only if you are getting sufficient value (which usually means quite high spend and transferring the points to travel partners). Otherwise, get the Amex Everyday (no AF) and move the points to that before closing the PRG.
