Utilization Ratio

I have an offer of 0% for 12 months on a capital one card that has a 9300 limit. is there any benefit to move the $2500 balance from my discover thats also 0%, for another 9 months, but only a 3,000 limit? it obviously wouldn't help my overall utilization, but at the account level its 27% vs 84%.

Re: Utilization Ratio

Considering you'd be looking at a balance transfer fee it's not likely to be worth it unless you wont pay it off before the current 0% intro runs out and the fee would be less than the interest aquired until you can get it paid off.

Generally speaking its best to keep cards under 30% but thats really only important if you're currently looking for credit.

I would pay down that discover few more months, punch them for CLI. Even at about 40% I was awarded increases but I was still carrying a significant balance
