Venture CLI Question..

Got a document that I read on the website today that said "Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low". My limit is 10k, I had recently paid off a balance transfer from my AMEX PRG from a while back, and made some purchases in between them. Let this last statement have a 0 balance. Anyone know the rhyme or reason to getting a CLI on this card at this point? I know it's all YMMV but want to see what you guys would say. Thanks!

I've posted about a similar experience in other threads... apparently balance transfers don't count as "usage" to Capital One's computers, at least for CLI purposes.

I got the exact same message on my QS MasterCard which I had used for a sizeable BT (then PIF after a couple of months), yet the next week I was able to get a $1k CLI on my QS Visa on which the largest transaction was a purchase half the size of the BT on the other card (with all other charges being trivial, as in < $50 each month).

You would think they would at least consider payments made on any BTs we might have, but apparently not, at least in our cases.  Smiley Frustrated
