Say if you have 40,000 points on your Venture card and you pc to QS. Do those points carry over? If they do are they gonna be worth $400 on QS?
They will not transfer between those two cards because Cap1 considers them different rewards types. I was able to transfer points from Spark miles to Venture miles as those are considered the same.
If you have Venture points, they are easy to use on a statement credit, and like Nixon said, you should clear them out before PC.

Or you may want to downgrade it to the VentureOne card?
I don't know if this is applicable to your situation, but I just PC'd my Spark Select (cash rewards) to Spark Miles Select (miles rewards). I recently cashed my rewards in and had $0.35 in cash rewards lying around on the account, and when the PC happened, they turned into 35 miles. I don't know how that happened, but the value of the rewards I had not only transferred, but inflated in value.
Beforehand, the tech actually told me I'd get 100 miles for every dollar in existing cash rewards.
Seems like a flaw, but it happened.
EDIT: Nevermind, the miles are worth a penny each. So yes, I would assume the rewards would convert.
Not sure if you can do that to a downgraded card but that is an interesting thought.
You may as well contact Cap1 about that.
I would think that if they transfer, they would be devalued to what you would get if you got a statement credit with your miles ($200 for 40k miles). While looking through my account and the various redemption options, I noticed if you redeem for gift cards, you get full value. ($250 Target gift card for 25k miles, $100 for 10k miles, etc) That's the route I'll be going if I don't use them for travel before I PC to QS. Report back your findings if you get an answer from Cap1 please!
They will not transfer over. Not saying its impossible but for every PC I have done and read about its always a forfeit. You may be able to get some EO magic but thats probably a long shot. Especially with Cap1.
