I currently order my groceries and have them delivered. Will Custom Cash recognize Walmart a grocery store or not? From my search of the boards on My FICO it appears to be hit or miss. I live in the Los Angeles area if that helps.
EDITED TO ADD: I submitted an order to Walmart it is a supercenter using custom cash. I looked at the pending charge this Walmart is being classified a a discount store. This does not fit any spending catagory of cards that I have. So I will use my Synchronny Premier Master Card with a flat 2% cash back in the future. I will examine other other options.

which merchant are you using?
Walmart directly? Instacart? Uber?

Just use boa cash rewards
It may code as grocery but most of the big discount superstores are excluded from getting the added % at most of the major lenders. Some like Amex have been known to allow the Walmart Neighborhood Markets since they're supposed to be exclusively grocery stores.
@GZG I order directly from Walmart. Not sure if mastercard will tret it differently than Visa does. I have thought about Amex Blue cash everyday card. I currently do not have the card.
Why not the Cap 1 WM MC? 5% CB.
Or, 7.1% CB with the Shop Your Way app (you get 5% CB with your Cap 1 card and an extra 2.1% in SYW points using the app to order).

I have a Amex BCP, orders from Walmart.com don't count as groceries even when ordered from a neighborhood market.

@ptatohed I do not like Capital One but not for the reasons that are popular here on the forum. I used to have a savings and credit card (Quick Silver no annual fee) relationship with them no more. The reason I do not like them is simply is this their ability to be fined by bank regulators. Below are couple of examples.
The one below is the one that caused me to close all my accounts with them

At that time I swore I swore I would never do business with them again. Fast forward to May 2022 I decided to switch grocers from a Kroger owned store chain to Walmart. The tempation of the Capital One Walmart caused me to to change on my previous decision. See my siggy. Fast forward to last week. I asked for a CLI on the card of $500.00 (No previous requests ever) The denied the request with the verbiage that means you do not spend enough with us. My response to that is if you do not like how much I spend then I stop spending money on your credit card. I know it will not change anything. This why I am exploring other options at the moment. I hope Walmart leaves Capital One.
