We Did It Again

I stated in a previous post about an issue with Chase cards that were issued thru our employer. Over 150 cc were returned back to them at the same time. We were kinda upset bc 3 members got rate jacked for no apparent reason. Turns out that issue was resolved and cards were reissued.

Now.... Amex did a FR in a couple cardholders in the job.

All 97 Amex cards have been returned back to them, they were sent overnight to their location in AZ. We will eventually hear from Amex. Will keep you informed. Not here to play games with those deceptive pratices. I myself don't and will NEVER get an amex card.

Now.... few co-workers indicated to me that some of their own family members also cut and returned cards back to them. It turns out that over 125 cards will be sent to them requesting accounts be closed for the same reason.

Time to Unite against the monsters.

Re: We Did It Again

Do employers usually issue CCs under the names and SSNs of their employees? (assuming I've been reading right)

I have a client who wants to issue a CC under the name and SSN of one of my employees. They asked for her info, but I am very strict on our employees' privacy. I figure they could ask her directly.

All of them applied individually... they decided to unite in closing their amex cc.

My employer-provided BofA Plat was issued under my SS#. Had to confirm it when activating the card.

It doesn't appear on any of my credit reports, but it's my understanding that if my employer defaults, then it'll hit.

See, that's scary to me. I guess it is incentive for you to work harder, be more productive, and to ensure your part to keep the company in the black.Smiley Happy

We should be hearing something from them in a couple of days. They will be getting the mass mail today. Spoke to few other buddies whom also agree to send them their cards for the same reason. Another mailing will go out today. Not sure how many more amex cards will be returned this time.

I will get to you great folks this af with the status.

I beg to differ on that one. We always log on from my job.
