Card looks mildly interesting due to the 4% CB for GAS (couple with my Citi/Costco I already have).
I read they pull from EX F9.
I hear mixed things on needing a relationship with them (I used to be with them (checking/savings), haven't been in a year.)
What other DPs are there for this card?
No relationship is needed.. I live out of their foothold, but was in florida where they have branches in December and stopped by branch and wasnt instantly approved, but was within hour after got back to hotel and calling UW and verifying that I applied. Correct they pull Experian and score was around 800 and got a 12.5k limit, by far not near my biggest by any means, but a decent on none the less. I think it would of been alot higher if I didnt have a relationship with from other DP's I have seen, but with that said I believe they do SP cli's about every 6 months in tune of approx 5k each if memory serves me right.

I didn't know you can be from outside the fence and still get a card if you apply in person.
@Anonymous
Sure you can.😂
We Mfer's come up with all sorts of ways to get our dirty little fingers in those outside the service area cookie jars!
You can initiate a SP CLI every six months. My SL started at $10k last year after Identity verification, requested cli back in November I believe to $15k. Have one coming up in a few months. I'll try the love button again.
No prior banking relationship with PNC.

I do remember now someone who wanted the 5% intro on the Citizens card had to do it at the branch, and it applied even for people outside the region.
I went for one about 6 months ago and was denied due to not enough spend on the card.
One of these days. I'll have to visit a Huntington and a Fifth third bank and open accounts. Just so I have the option of applying for credit. Even though I'm outside of both FI's service areas.
I did the same with BMO in order to get their credit products.

(Replying to my own post for more information)
So PNC doesn't frown on recent open accounts (i.e. 5/24-ish) or INQs (i.e. US Bank) ?

I got mine in October 2017. They pulled experian and my score was 702 at the time. I had a checking account and a mortgage with them. I used to have a car loan with them that was 30 and 60 days late a lot, and which is probably why I only got a $1,500 limit (which they've never raised). But I just saw someone say in here that it's a soft pull CLI, so I may try to get it a little higher since it's my lowest limit card. I only use it for restaurants these days though, so I've never even come close to the limit. At the time that I got it, it was my best gas, restaurant, fast food, and grocery card.. but since then I've obtained better cards in all categories except for sit down restaurants.
Another thing to note is that PNC has a seperate cashback program called "purchase payback" for certain businesses. You have to click on them to get the offers, like the AMEX offers that you can add to your card. Currently I only have two showing, 10% back at Five Guys and 10% back at Long John Silvers. I've seen Autozone on there before, and some others.. I don't see one that I actually want to use very often, but it's nice when it's there.
