Hello Everyone,
Last month I got a pre-approved app. for HSBC Disc. Network card. I almost tossed it in the trash because I figured that no one would ever give me credit besides Orchard. Yeah, I know they are the same, but...
I was absolutely floored when I was instantly approved for a $1600.00 limit, no anual fee. I then applied for a Discover card and of course they denied me, but sent me back over to HSBC who approved me for 300.00 wtih an anual fee of $59.00. I got them to combine the two limits for a total of $1900.00. They told me that I would not have to pay the $59.00, but it has shown up nevertheless on my account. Also, it has been over a month and I have not gotten a bill from them. I check several times a day online. I have made two $50.00 payments over 3 weeks just to make sure I do not have any problems.
Anyway, just curious about what types of max credit limits can I expect from the following cards.
1. HSBC Disc. is at 1900.00. When they say pre approved up to $2500.00 does that mean that that is the max limit of that card?
2. HSBC Platinum M/C with a $1100.00 limit.
(I notice that neither of these cards are being offered by HSBC at this time. I think they were Direct Merchant cards)
3. I have the standard Orchard Bank with $300.00, anual fee of $79.00. Will def. do something about this AF!
4. Capital One No Hassle Points $500.00. I got something in the mail last weekend stating they will increase my limit from to $750 after three months of good history. Hopefully, I can get rid of this $29.00 anual fee as well. I did not see the no anual fee card when I applied online.
5. I also have a Target Redcard with the usual $200.00. I have read that they give credit line increases practically every 3 or 4 months then upgrade to the Target Visa. By the way, is that a Visa to use anywhere, or is it just a Redcard with a larger limit to be used only at Target stores?
Anyone get limits over $3000.00 on these cards? If they can grow with me, I could not care less if they are "subprime." I will just keep them forever. Of course, I certainly want to be back in the ranks of Citibank and Discover one day as well!
