If you no recent bad information, with your scores, you should be able to get both cards.

What would you call 'recent' and what would you call 'bad'?

I have a recent PIF collection on Efax and on TU I have two 3-4 year old unpaid collections.

Experian forget about.

Why forget about EX?  Do you mean your EX has baddies the other two don't have?  Amex pulls EX, BTW.

You could apply and see if you would get the cards now. But my advice is, you might be better off sending PFD letters and get those collections off your CR. Search the forums for PFD you'll find lot of useful information.

For me in NH both Amex / Discover pull EX.

Yeah, Experian has baddies the others don't. Disputes knocked them off TU/Efx but not Exp.

I have OC and DV letters so hoping a few will go away (fingers crossed!!!!) and that I can PFD others and get Experian up to snuff as well. Interestingly enough, Exp score is as high as the others, pretty sure because it is the only one with a Paid Bally account from 1990 making my total/avg lenght of credit that much higher.

One reason I wanted to wait for Amex AU, it has a 38 year old history which would have helped score a ton.

Hi, I am reserving PFD for the next step. Right now I have OC letters out for HSBC, Cap1, Bally's and CA letters out for Midland and Professional Collections.

IF they come back with documented debt, I will do PFD on the remaining ones.

Citi pulls TU for me in NH. I am not sure where you are. Try apping for Citi and see if you could get a Citi Card. Normally Citi is very generous with CL. Citi also has their own version of Amex Card.

I am in NYC. From what I can see, Citi pulls about 75% of the time from TU or Efx here.

Efx has 4 good tradelines, 1 old CO, 1 recent paid.

TU has 4 good tradelnes, 1 old CO, 2 3-4 year unpaid collections (hoping to get them off).

I was hoping for the Amex AU to add a good account and age my report significantly before applying AND to see the result of the OC/DV letters. I guess I'll know more in April Smiley Happy
