What can I get with these scores?

TU-689
EQ-657
EX-633

No BK ever, one small hiccup collection that will go away in march 2008 ( $400 )
I am an AU on AMEX GOLD  with $2000 maximium used  as they don't report credit line , just the maximium used. Util all at or under 10% for credit cards and I have my own DELL $2500 line with $600 balance. No lates. I also got my own CITI Platinum plus with $2000 line. Again all under 10% utilization.

My credit dates back to 1995 on TU & EQ, but EX doesn't report my AU accounts. And it report my credit only 6 month old. Hence the score I guess.  I wonder if the EX are first to drop AU from scoring this september?

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

But there is stll time. It's safe to assume that TU and EQ will switch to FICO08 in January 2008, no? EX stopped using AU alltogether now. I mean at least mine doesn't show anything except one TL with DELL.

I am so confused. lol.

Thank you for your reply.

No, all FICO scores still consider AUs.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

Today, I got approved for a $2500 wamu card at the branch. I was opening a free checking with a $100 dollars and the pre-approved thing came up. The teller said that not everyone gets it like that. So anyway, I guess they go by the high limit on your TL, mine was DELL at the same amount. They pull TU. What they told me at the bank. So apparently I was good enough for them.

I will try AMEX next. Have my fingers crossed! lol.

Thank you all for you input.

Unless you don't mine the inquiry I would leave AMEX alone right now with your scores and recent inquires.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

Do I have too many inquiries? What is too many?

My inquiries are:

August 23, 2007 Washington Mutual ( approved $2,500 line, cash withdrawal unknown, maybe at least 20 % like described in terms letter ? )

August 16, 2007 E Loans Inc ( not approved for a car loan, asked $10,000 )

August 14, 2007 Capital One Auto Fin ( not approved for a car loan, asked $30,000 and thought they would just set their own limit )

August 09, 2007 Citi ( approved $2000 line and $2000 cash withdrawal Citi Platinum Plus)

March 19, 2007 Bank Of America ( AMEX BOFA not approved )

February 17, 2007 Dell Financial Services ( $1,500 line at 29.99% but 0% APR for 12 month new XPS deal that's why I took it, got a bump to $2,500 limit last week , probably after 6 month usage and review , thought I never asked for it )

September 22, 2006 Advanta ( don't even remember that one but looks like an impulse apply online or something )

I will probably wait untill 05/2008 when that collection will go away, by then I should have accumulated nice FICO for repayment and all ( will be more then 6 month ). Maybe even CL increase. I will have 2 my own credit card lines, one DELL account.

Though I am still tempted............................
