Lack of credit history is your problem... Id go for the 61 day 3X CLI.... Youll want to use the card a bit .. there are threads on it..

I see. So I guess I have to sign up for more credit account to help boost my score to fix my problem?

I just applied for the Chase Marriot card for the bonus points, and got approved for $12K. I am so happy! I've always wanted a black metal card.  I can't wait to do a 61 day 3X CLI for AMEX and get it up to hopefully, 18K

Actually, no - lack of credit history refers to the Length of time you've had the cards, not the qty of cards. Each time you open a card, you shorten your average age of accounts, which you dont want to do.  The best way to improve your credit from here is to use the the AMEX card, for whatever, and pay it monthly. I would strongly suggest you spend some time reading this, and other threads in the "frequently requested threads post"

Good luck!!

I applied for an amex delta account, but i only got approved for $6K and I received my card today, and it had a disclosure saying that my "FICO score is 794"  I thought from my reading and research here that it's a good score and i should be getting a much higher CL.  I just turned 18 recently and my birthday was in March.  It said there were adverse key factors affecting my score and I want to know how to fix them?  I am attaching a picture of the letter here. Please help

Looks like lack of current accounts is your problem.  But $6k is great - especially at 18!!!!  Use the card and do the 61 day credit increase and you'll be at possibly $18K!!!!!

I don't get how some people can get $6k, but I can't get anything with no history. Ugh.

Bank of America Cash Rewards: $70k; Chase Sapphire Preferred: $35k; Capital One Quicksilver: $21.2k; Citi AAdvantage: $23.5k; Care Credit: $20k; Chase Freedom: $12.5k; Chase Freedom Unlimited: $12.5k; Citi Simplicity: $15.9k; Wayfair: $22K; Barclaycard Rewards: $10k; Car Care One: $10k; AMEX BCE: $15k; Discover IT Miles: $10k; Citi DC: $9.2k; Marvel: $10k; Ashley Furniture: $6k; PayPal Credit: $10k; US Bank Cash +: $5k;

The title combined with the age was suspicious enough, then the Amex could happen if a very rich Daddy had him as a AU... but the Chase Marriot...  NOT happening.

I'm totally not BS-ing at all.  My jaw literally dropped when I saw the approval screen. I have no reason to make this up.  It's just a Chase hotel card, not a Centurion card or anything.

Edit: I took a picture with my phone of my laptop screen. Posting it here since I'm being defamed.

Haha, ya... I can see someone squeeking by on the first card after being an AU on mommy's or daddy's card for a couple of years but "xtremejason" is playing the babe in the woods act too far.  I don't believe this "kid" no matter what proof he posts. Plenty of douches on YouTube posting fake Centurion "box openings" as well.

Why would your jaw drop open?  After all, "everyone" starts with a credit score of 800 and it either goes up 50 points or goes down 500 - at least, that's how you put it.

Besides, a baller like you thought $6000 for his first AMEX was doing something "wrong".  I can't say why you are trolling but if I had to guess, mommy and daddy didn't give you enough attention growing up?
