I have gotten approvals from barclaycard, discover, capital one, GE money, BOA secured the only one i have ever gotten a pre approval from is barclaycards website. I have never gotten a pre approval from any other major bank either by mail or online. I am opted in. So what does it take? My DW gets like 4 mailers a day from discover and amex our scores are almost the same and we have the same cards plus i make more than she does. I cant figure this out lol.
If you have ever opted out it can take 6 months to several years before the offers come in, your credit profile will also affect what offers you get.

Then I would suspect that the lates are to recent and when creditors poll the CRAs for people who qualify for an offer you are being excluded. FICO and util are not the only things that would affect whether or not you do get an offer.
Also if you have ever frozen a report or a FA has been placed on your report(s) these actions result in an automatic opt out.

Just curious...why do you want them? A pre-approval is not a guarantee of approval.

I like seeing the different offers. I know its not a guarantee but i would much rather have a pre-approval going into an application than no pre approval at all.

That's exactly what happened ot me
How can I fix this?

I want them bc targeted offers are often better than public! Unfortunately, I have to scour FT and beg CSRs for richer offers! lol
