I did an online app last Fridayfor Lowes and they denied me saying I didnt use a landline numberfor my primary phone number so they could not verify my identity I called the underwriter and she said to apply instore next time. So I did today andthy denie me again. I called the underwriter today and she said A) I had too many inquiries from them(two in one week) and that
she cannot override anything and to wait another 30 days before I apply with GEMB
What is going on here?
Ive never heard of the landline excuse and I did what the first lady said to do and they turn
me away because I applied with them twice in one week?

This is a common problem. Mobile phone numbers cannot be verified.
I would call back during business hours and talk to a supervisor. Don't be surprised if you end up waiting. GEMB is a mess sometimes. I question if Lowe's is worth three INQ's though.

I have 5 account with GE an has always used my cell number cause that's the only number i have.
You should call GEMB back to request at least one of the inquiries to be removed. I had a similar problem like yours when I applied for the walmart card back in 11/08, where they pulled a total of 3 of my Experian report (all within 2 weeks after applying). I disputed to the cra that two of them I did not authorized, and they removed the last 2. The application was originally denied for the same reason as yours was, and it took 4-5 reps before someone could help me. I had to verify a bunch of questions, where at the end the guy finally approved me. Good luck to you though.

That should be all it takes. I think OP is a victim of bad CSR work by the first CSR he spoke to.

I just had my GEMB/ Walmart account frozen for security concerns ie: "Using a cell phone account as my contact #" after I had and account with them for 4 years. lol. They told me to send them a copy of my home phone service bill to reinstate the account.
Yuppers, like I said before mobile phone numbers cannot be verified!
