Does Amex always take so long to make a decision?
LOL. I reckon back in the days when everything by mail it may have taken at least a month for a credit card to be approved. A few hours or days was most likely unheard of.

LOL! Mail in a paper application and then wait weeks to get an envelope in the mail that you bent to see if it had a card in it or if it was a denial letter.
Oh the good 'ole days. LOL!!

My parents talk about that stuff all of the time. How if you wanted a toy or something it was all through a catalog and by the time it was delivered you had forgotten it was ordered. I can't imagine waiting weeks for a package. Even having to wait until the statement arrived to make sure everything was as it should be. I have withdrawl symptoms five minutes after the electricity goes out lol.
