Re: What is your most annoying card...

Bbva amex.  I'm stuck on a low limit and I put a lot of spending "off season"… and lots during their special all star 5%. Any other card put significant spend through it and paid off has rewarded me,  more than expected.  It sucks because it has the best interest rates of all my card so if I wanted to make it bigger purchases I need to carry that would be the one

Re: What is your most annoying card...

For the people that are complaining about Target go into your online profile and change things around.  add/remove your middle initial to your mailing address,  change your yearly income by $100. I got my card in December 2010 and limit not move until a few months ago.

Here's a link to a list of some of the most commonly used abbreviations on here.

It doesn't include all of them, but many are covered:

Re: What is your most annoying card...

Citi TY Premier. I only have a 10K limit and can't get any more on that particular card because of my overall exposure with Citi. I can't move limits on a card I never use without incurring a hard pull so I just put up with it and use the card wherever Amex isn't accepted. And, I had two fraudulent charges appear on it last week (apparently, I am vacationing in Poland) - 7-10 days for a replacement with Citi but Amex will overnight replacements to me. I do like the points for ent and dining and the other perks so it does get a fair amount of monthly use. Wonder if I'll get the points for all the fraudulent charges?Smiley Very Happy First time any fraudulent use has ever appeared on any of my cards. Yep, the old chip is working well.

Re: What is your most annoying card...

Discover it. I got it as a student secured card a year and a half ago with a $200 limit that hasn't moved. I'll keep using it over the next few months because I get 5% on dining and I got out to eat very often. It's very annoying to have to pay it off so often though...

My most annoying is a CU Visa I have.  It's my first and oldest card and only has a $1500 limit. (22 yrs)!  I won't close it but I just put recurring charges on it. I've considered asking for a CLI but I don't want a HP so it will just stay SD.

Mine as well.  They would freak at the amount of credit I have now, but it comes in handy for business expenses that do not take amex.  Same limit, and oldest active card (started as secured).  Right now, barclays is annoying me a tad.  Smiley Wink

It's not about the card.  If you have a low limit and/or can't get CLI's then it's your credit profile and income.  Any creditor uses those to determine what you qualify for.  Do not rely on the usage meme.  It's not just the account itself that matters.  Your entire credit profile matters.

None of mine are "annoying" in this sense.  Sure, some have limits lower than others but they're all 5 digits.  It's not because of the card.  It's not because of usage -- I've received a number of large CLI's on cards that have seen little to no usage.  It's because my profile and income support such limits.

U.S Bank Platinum, they gave it to me when I had a 603 score V3 or whatever and that was nice but I've improved by like 50 points and ran 3,000 through it since February and they won't offer a CLI with a $1100 limit..

Ditto...I have the same card with a $2000 CL, but I want to go for the Platinum Plus...and I want the most "beefy" profile when I go for the gusto !

This one is easy... in my case, it's my BCP.  I use the heck out of it (PIF each month) but I only have a $1k credit line.

Amex has turned down my CLI requests four times (!) now, so I've decided to just live with it the way it is.  Their reason for denying the CLI is an account IIBK 16 years ago, so there's no way to 'remedy' the issue... it "is what it is".  I am happy they gave me another chance, though, knowing how historically they have been very slow to forgive.  I average $20 each month in rewards with the card, so I'm not going to 'pout' about the low credit line and put it in the SD... I make it 'work'.  Smiley Wink

Later in the year I might try for an ED card, and if approved after 13 months I'll move most of the limit over to the BCP, since I have very little interest in MR points.

Hey UncleB !

I can dig it...Amex did me the same on my BCE application....approved with $1000 CL & no increase to date (approved 7/2013). Now I only use it for the obvious (ex: Amex Offers) & it costs me NOTHING in annual fees (though they repeatedly keep inviting me to UPGRADE to BCP---yeah, watch me NOT pay you an "annual fee")....*LOL*

I don't know why they don't like me, but I don't care either....and I keep it right on moving Smiley Tongue
