Hey guys I just found another good 5% gas card and the categories is really good too for a no annual fee! Check this out!
https://www.aerofcu.org/Spend/Credit-CardThat does look interesting. There are caps on the categories, $7K for gas, $9K for entertainment and $12k for travel. If those caps are OK, looks like a good card as it is also a flat 2% card on everything else.
Should be FoTM!
I dunno about a FoTM, but maybe for those who would be eligible? So, maybe 5 MF members? You should try it @longtimelurker

Well if you were considering a short term move to AZ for the Vantage West CC at one point I'm sure you could try it for "creativity" and see where it leads.

Yeah I heard Costco has been ramping up the prices on stuff that the membership itself isn't worth it anymore. I don't use Costco gas anyway, it's cheap for a reason lol but that's just me.
KJinNC - I heard the Fort Knox is better due to the monthly statement credit but the ducks I believe from what I read has a threshold.
I did got 5c off my shell before by putting in my number but I don't know how to get the loyalty card tho. I used Plenti loyalty card before it was with Exxon/Mobil1.
Costco gas is rated Top Tier along with other major brands. What's your basis for implying it's of lower quality? I think the reason it's cheap is that they sell a lot and don't try to gouge customers.
It's my primary grocery store (electronics, too) and membership is still a good value for me.
There may be exceptions, but as a general statement, all gas comes through the same pipe. The only difference between brands is additives. I suppose there could also be quality control issues with some stations, but not really at a brand level. I nearly always buy either Sam's Club gas or Shell gas, due to pricing/memberships. It all works the same for me.
How to get the Shell loyalty card - search for "sign up for shell fuel rewards" or click this link:
https://www.fuelrewards.com/fuelrewards/signup.html
I have no affiliation with Shell except as a customer, just answering a question about how to sign up for that program.

I've read some people say that you also get the 2% CB for being an exec member on top of the 4% the card offers? It's hard to check because there's no detailed earning activity for either the 2% cashback or even the credit card. It annoys me not knowing exactly how much I'm earning per purchase.
Look at page 2 or 3 of your statement. You should see a breakdown per statement period of 4% bonus, 3% bonus, 2% bonus, 1% bonus. If further questions, just see individual line items to see what added up to which bonus. Unless you charge a ton on the card, it's not usually difficult to follow or calculate.
Yes, if you're Executive, you should be getting that 2% on all warehouse purchases (including gasoline) for up to a $1000 total rebate per year. ($50K in total annual spend.) Difference in AF is about $60 per year (Basic: $60; Executive: $120).
From Costco's Web site:
https://www.costco.com/executive-rewards.html
In the U.S., Rewards are not calculated: (i) on purchases of cigarettes or tobacco-related products, gasoline, Costco Shop Cards, postage stamps, alcoholic beverages in certain states (including Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee), and at food courts; (ii) on membership fees; (iii) on purchases not recorded through Costco’s front-end registers and transactions done on or through websites not hosted by Costco even if accessed through Costco.com, including all business, consumer, and insurance services, the Online Photo Center, and the My Publisher website; (iv) on miscellaneous fees, deposits and taxes, including sales tax and shipping; (v) where prohibited by law or regulation; (vi) on purchases made by anyone other than the account’s Primary or Primary Household Cardholder; (vii) on travel purchases: surcharges, gratuities, trip protection, travel purchased through a third party, upgrades, rental car equipment, resort charges and port charges; and (viii) on certain other categories as determined at Costco’s discretion, which may change without notice.
