What's has your experience been like stacking CC points with a dining program?

The past few months I have been trying to make more of an effort for frequent Restaurants that are part of the AA dining program to see what value I can get out of it.  My area has many option because when I was travelling to other parts of the country the options were limited.

I was presently surprised on the results of using Prestige w/ AA dining and having over 12 visit for 5x miles and TYP value of 1.60 giving me more than 10% per $1 spent.  I never really put an effort in the past because I was lazy and didn't care to look-up restaurants in the program, signed up forgot about it and oh boy did I leave a bunch of miles on the table.

What's your experience?

I've been stacking my dining with Upromise. You don't even have to have the card. They let you register 8 of your CC/debits and you can rack up 5% at their partner restaurants and other retailers. Minimum redemption is $50, but it is kind of a nice thing to have stacking up and check once in awhile. I do have their card so it's 10% at those restaurants, but I've been getting surprised from other bonuses from online retailers that I didn't even bother to look up in their program.
