Hey guys, haven't posted here in a while, but still lurking Since last time I posted, I've received some awesome auto love from most of CC's (Chase, Citi, Discover)
Also, my wife and I just got new jobs along with substantial pay increases. Should I call up each of our CC companies and inform them of our new income or just request some CLI's? What's the best thing to do when your income goes up? Thanks!
**Edit: My current credit scores are a little low (685 scorewatch) but only because I have high balances on my 0% apr cards which I'm taking advantage of and just paying off monthly.
I would just wait until you are ready to request CLI's as that is when they will typically ask for income and you can give it to them. My guess is you are hoping for auto CLI's, which most will do anyway (if they do them) based on use.
Alright, I was thinking of doing the CLI's now and then doing an app spree in Jan.

Many companies have a place online where you can update your income. If yours do, it wouldn't hurt to update it.

I assumed they did, but I was only able to find a place to do it online for Amex and Discover. That's why I was wondering if I should call up my other cards and update it over the phone?
I think Citi's credit increase online form is a soft pull, and it asks for your income. BofA asks for income on the credit increase form online, but theirs is a hard pull.
Is citi's online form really a soft pull? I don't really waste any hard pulls just yet

It tells you very clearly... they have 2 options now and it spells it out... go check if yours has the sp.
my take on income increases is for the most part the current banks don't care so just update it the next cli.

I just assumed most CC's use a HP when you request a CLI. On Citi it says "a credit bureau report will not be required" so I'm guessing that means it's a soft pull right?
