I want to get a best buy store card. I went thru the pre approval and was not approved. I was approved for a HSBC card. If I was to open an HSBC card and wait say 6months or so do you think that then I might have a chance at BB?
Any Input would be great.
I have the following cards, cashrewards $6000, Flagship $1000, Berkeley (priceline) $1000 Lowes $500 Walmart $900 JcPenneys $800 and 2 FP cards one for $575 and other $475. Perfect credit for the last two years. Scores I have never pulled
I would recommend pulling your scores to just see where you stand. I jsut got a best buy card with my EX score of 698.

Which HSBC card were you approved for?

You really should pull your scores. And there's lots of help for you on these boards to tweak them higher once we know what's going on with them.
You can have mine. Highest prices in the electronics business and highest interest in the credit card business.
They definitely have the highest interest rate, but they run really good promos. Right now it's 18 months no interest, when I bought my TV, it was 24 months.
I did however just pay off my BB Card, which had a balance of $2500 and it was such a great feeling!
I have a feeling that when you apply for the BB card in 6 months, you will get rejected for having too many HSBC accounts open. At least that has been my experience in a simular situation...but I forget the store at this time.
At this time I do not have any HSBC accounts.
I just got a Best Buy store card with a fico of 645ish. I also have an Orchard card that i have had for over year. I also had a charge off that is paid.
