When I hit the spend requirement on my Chase Freedom they credited my account right away with the signup bonus. I've met the spend on my new AMEX BCP but it hasn't shown up yet. What are your experiences with when AMEX issues signup credits? As a side question, how long does it take for points from purchases to post to the account. I've had one statement so far but they didn't credit any points. Is it one statement behind? Thanks for your insights!
I called them a couple of days ago and they told me rewards points/dollars are one month behind. I know we got our cards around 3 days apart and mine still shows $0 earned. I met $922 of $1K spend the first month and earned $38 and change for my spending. Once this next statement cuts, we should both see some $$$. ![]()
Hope you're enjoying your new card. I know I am. ![]()

I met the signup bonus requirement for my AMEX BCP last week and the rewards dollars posted to my account yesterday. Which I thought was really quick. However, the cash back from the $1,000+ purchases to meet the requirement has yet to post. Heck, the 2nd statement is about to post and AMEX still hasn't reported to the CRA's. ![]()

That's weird. AMEX reported my new tradeline before the 30 day mark of being approved! It was like 28 days in and I got a monitoring alert from EX of a new tradeline reporting. They reported fast for me or from what I read very fast for AMEX, anyway.
I left a $38 balance on my BCE for it's first statement and it reported on the CR. I got my $50 signup bonus after I met the spending requirement but still haven't seen any of the normal cash back from regular spending and the 2nd statement is coming up next week.
Thanks for the responses. Hopefully in a week or so the signup bonus will post. Just hit the spend req. a few days ago. I did do two of their offers to spend X at Y store and get $ credit back. Those two already posted credit on my acct and I did the purchases on Sat. the 12th. Love that feature as well.
Just checked and AMEX is on my CR as of this morning. I was trying to get them to not show up there yet and PIF before the statement but they added the $75 annual fee on the last day. Oh well, all should be good. I'm not too worried about Barclays as they get good spend too and I PIF twice a month.
Really liking this card.

Please let us know if the normal cash back shows up after that statement.

They did this to me, as well. I guess it's normal on the first statement. Here I was all excited about the statement cutting at $0 and saw that $75. I'm like you, it is what it is. $75 reporting is way less than 1% util for me so no biggie.
I was just wondering this myself. I have almost a thousand MR points from my last statement period that haven't posted yet. Also, I'll be meeting my $2K minimum spend this cycle, and I'm looking forward to those 25,000 MR points.
