So here's the run down my dh needs a 4th revolving line but wants to apply for the cc with highest cl potential. He receives cc offers daily. He recently received WF prequal, Chase Slate, Boa and Credit One, just to name a few. He has a credit score of 703 (fico TU) due to util because he doesn't have any baddies. He has cl of 9500 with discover, helzburg card with 3400 limit, and tjmaxx card he never uses. He also has a credid union loc with 7500 line. He is showing on cap on site prequal for qs rewards. Which card typically would have the best opportunity to get a high line?
IMHO Capital One Venture or Venture One if it shows up on the pre-qual I'd go for one of those

Try AMEX......My Blue Everyday card gave me $2000 starting - and apparently there is a 3xCLI deal you can do (search the forums) almost immediately you can request a CLI of triple limit - for me that would be $6k - and then in 6 mos you can do it again $18K - according to others....I could be at $18K in 6 mos or so....... My scores and other cards aren't near his and I got in - he may get a higher starting line if he gets in......
Good Luck!

What are the rest of his scores? And what utilization is he at? Chase will give bum limits if your util is too high.
If he wants no annual fee, the quicksilver rewards visa might yeild him a 5 to 10 k.
Venture Visa would probably be at least 10k(maybe more who knows) if his EQ score is as good as TU.
Capital One, they are going to give him much higher limits than the others.

Exactly what are ALL the offers. Are they PREQUALIFIED, or invitation to apply. What is his credit utilization and his current Fico 8 scores on all 3 bureaus. He doesn't have many revolving trade lines on his bureaus.
if I were him I would apply for several cards and spread the inquiries over all 3 bureaus. Keep in mind Capital One will put inquiries on all 3 bureaus.
i would probably without more detailed info from you do the Quicksilver, check Citibank for prequals, same with Barclays. Cabelas Visa if his Equifax is over 700 will very likely give him $5000. Check Am Ex for prequals too. They run Experian. If he does 3 cards that is his best bet. You never know what starting limit some banks will give.
Don't just count on one card giving him a $5000-$10,000 limit. Apply for 3 and spread the inquiries out over 3 bureaus and all should be good.
If it were me I'd do: Am Ex BCE or Everyday- Experian, Cabelas- Equifax, Quicksilver-all 3, and if BofA is a prequal do that or a Barclays card- TU.

The card/creditor is just half of the equation. One's credit and income matter as well. Don't rely solely on the card/creditor.
Is the potential limit all that matters? No other needs/wants?

Which FICO? FICO 8? What about the other 2 CRA's?
It's never just about score but you can refer to the Credit Pulls Database to see approvals, limits and scores but you'll need to specify some info such as CRA and/or creditor.
