The cash value of TY points is exactly 1 cent.
Thanks for pointing that out, @SouthJamaica. I don't have a CITI TY-point earning card but I had added a link to a third-party website as you were posting your reply, which I had used to check TY value.
It appears that Citi changed the cash value of TY points to 1 cpp in 2022 per >this web article.< But also, while cash value of TY points on the Premier card is 1 cpp, it may be less on other cards. (I believe Rewards+ is still 0.5 cpp when redeeming for cash, so this might have led to some confusion in point valuation discussion.)
But yes, for this discussion, points could be cashed-out for 1 cpp, less any lost value from the $95 AF.

@Aim_High she has an iphone but she not that savy when it comes to stuff like that. She doesnt use apple pay at all.
The more you tell me, @Harvey26, the more it sounds like DM need to product change her Flagship Rewards to a cashRewards, as long as she has a direct deposit. (Please don't tell me that she doesn't!! Lol
)
Keeping-it-simple sounds like the best approach. One login for banking and credit card. No AMEX. Baseline simplicity rewards. No mobile wallet. No AF. Easy-peasy. ![]()

@Aim_High LOL yes she does! NFCU is her primary bank. I think i will write all these good options down and narrow down to one and report back!
@Aim_High @Harvey26 Sorry I did not scroll far enough down to see the annual fee my error. So I remembered seeing some credit unions that had credit cards for gas and groceries
There is this card Pen Fed Platinum Rewards Signature Visa 5X on gas 3X on groceries and no annual fee. There would be the joining the credit union etc to do. See the link below

No worries, @AndySoCal.
PenFed Platinum Rewards could be a contender also but I wanted to point out some caveats about this card that might not be readily apparent.

@Aim_High DM decided to just keep Flagship card for now.

I know they say this but has anyone actually experienced it? When I do limited checks on my account, it's much close to the 0.85 c figure. Maybe some redemptions really are double that.
If it really was 1.7cpp, as it's uncapped on supermarkets, you could be getting 8.5c per $ (supermarket) spent, without any transfer hassles, which would be good!
@Aim_High Update: DM is eyeing the CSP. She is in her "Travel Lady" era lol Probably will pull the trigger she is really loving the 1:1 Point Transfer.
