Disco and Amex both tend to give generous- and frequent- CLIs. That has been my experience at least. I grew my Disco from 5k to over 18k in less than two years. And Amex sometimes will triple your SL.

Discover It: 26.5k
Amex Cash Magnet: 24.4k
Fidelity Visa: 21.5k
Apple Card: 13k

If you have good credit & income, amex will probably be the quickest most often due to the easy 3x cli request soft pulls.

Personally, my amex revolver:
SL: 5k, to 15k, to 34.9k (35k is the point where they ask for financial records and I'm too lazy for that, plus don't even need such a high limit).

Don't forget that the profile matters!

Maybe someone is rebuilding from some major baddies a few years ago but recently got a new job with much higher income. In those cases, many cards can grow quickly, as least with POI.

A retiree with 800+ FICOs on a fixed income may get a very good SL but have a hard time getting any CLIs.

It's easier to get a big percentage increase from a small base. If I got a $5k or $2.5k SL (other than maybe as my 7th Amex or 6th Chase card) I'd be a bit annoyed.

I agree with Amex.

One that starts with a $3k SL on an Amex card has a chance to bring it to $27k in roughly 8 months time.

How often does that happen? IMO, a $3k SL is a little peculiar for Amex, indicating concerns that may take time to abate.

Maybe if someone has a very thin file and a good income...
