Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I just recently closed on my first home after rebuilding my credit. My bankcard scores are all in the 660 - 680 range. I have one retail card with 28 years history and 1 capital one secured card with 4 months history. I have done the pre-qual for Chase and it comes up with the Freedom and Slate for me and Capital One shows two cards as well. What are my chances of getting one of these cards and what score do they actually pull? Is it the FICO 8 or the bankcard version? Which credit card company is the best?
If you are getting pre-equal on the Chase site then you look solid. The Freedom card has a promotion going now where you get $200 after spending $500. Chase uses their internal scores in determining approvals..
Also, if you are seeing the Venture and Venture One on the CAP 1 site get the Venture or if you don't want an annual fee then the Venture One. Keep in mind, scores also play a minor role in the approval process.
But you look good to go if you are seeing pre-equals on their sites.

No such thing. Best is always highly subjective. You should be selecting specific products -- not creditors. If you want feedback on cards suited to you then you need to specify exactly what you're looking for and your priorities. We really can't give you approval odds or use that as selection criteria. We can certainly guess but it's never just a matter of score.
Congratulations on the house!
Most companies will use FICO 8 for their decisions. If you are preapproved for the Freedom, I say go for it. The $200 sign up bonus is easy money. Chase has always double pulled EX & TU for me on the 3 cards I have with them.
Are you pre approved for the Capital One Venture? Can you meet the $3000 spend for 40,000 bonus miles? If so, go for that too!
The best credit card company is the one that's treating you the best currently and it's totally subjective. My favorite changes from month to month! Everyone has different opinions on this because every one has different experiences with each creditor. Stay away from the predatory lenders and chances are you'll enjoy your cards with Chase, Citi, Discover, Cap1, BofA, Barclays, etc.
Good luck and let us know how your apps go!
Thanks for all the responses. I am really looking for a low to no annual fee card. I probably won't put alot on it but would like to have it for emergencies.

Then do the Freedom card and the Venture One... Keep us posted on results should you apply.
