In your first post you said you have the freedom unlimited, not the freedom. So you should be allowed to product change to the freedom.
Ohh ok now I see what you guys were saying, calling back now, thank you!

@HeavenOhio wrote:I like the idea of bringing another bank into the mix, but I also like the idea of the Chase trifecta (the Freedom Unlimited, the Freedom, and a Sapphire). Because of 5/24 and Chase's sensitivity to new accounts, it makes sense to apply for Chase cards before others.
If the CSP is a good fit, I'd apply for it and product-change (PC) the Slate into a Freedom.
Product change would make my CL on my slate transfer to the freedom?
Yes a PC would simply move the limit over. If you did this you just call the # on back of your slate card and they should be able to handle it to PC it to the Freedom.
I called to PC my slate to Freedom and they said since I already have the freedom they can't do it but they can simply move my $4000 CL to my freedom, wait 30 days and they will close my slate account. Is there another term that they would understand? so I can keep the time etc. from the slate
They might of been confused? Make sure you say freedom not freedom unlimited. they should have no issue doing it at all.. Call back and try again please

They offered to PC to the following two.
Freedom ultimate which is 5% quarterly in certain categories and they also said I could get the same freedom unlimited duplicate.
So don't get a duplicate just PC to the Freedom Ultimate correct?
Has anyone heard of the Alliant cashback card? It says 3% cash back for the first year and 2.5% after.
I spend a lot on cars in the auction weekly so a cashback card would be amazing opposed to a travel one since I don't travel often.

Product change to this card: https://creditcards.chase.com/cash-back-credit-cards/chase-freedom?iCELL=6C1Y
Don't product change to this card since you already have one and a second is pointless: https://creditcards.chase.com/cash-back-credit-cards/chase-freedom-unlimited?iCELL=6C1Y

Done!
Thank you and everyone else that helped me so much with this. It is processed and I should be receiving it within 3-5 business days.
Now that this is taken care of, time to choose a card to apply to.
If let's say I get a CL of $6000 can I call the backdoor number to whichever company it is and request a higher limit? if so, what do I say or what's the process? I remember reading this a while ago but don't recall the steps besides calling in right away to dispute it.

What he said... Sounds like your CSR is possibly confused or possibly a bit of each party .. Either way click the links and follow his instructions.
Yes familiar with the Alliant card it is only 3% for first year then 2.5% thereafter although AF I believe you got to spend something like 12k a year on that card to be above a regular no AF 2% card. don't have the math in front of me if that isn't an issue then each dollar you spend above say 12k goes closer to 2.5%, but you will never really reach that due to the AF. Not a bad card if that is the one you will put a ton of spend on. Believe min CL for that card is 10k if not mistaken as well. Certianly something to consider, but Citi DC or PenFed Power rewards is possibly a better option imo.

Depends on the issuer.. Chase nope although can move limits around. Citi possibly once you receive card, but will be an additional HP to get a possibly higher CL. I think you will be just fine on getting a decent limit that is useable with your scores and two other cards

haha yes I got a little confused but glad it all sorted out and new card should be in within a week thanks!
Is nerdwallet a good place to review cards?
Looked up Citi DC and it seems to have a lot of 1 star ratings.
