Why haven't I received an email from Discover after approval?

if you have usps informed delivery the tracking number should pop up in there mine did they send it first class mail with tracking i never got an email when it was sent i just saw the tracking for it in usps informed delivery

I understand now.  Unfortunately I don't have that USPS service.

I didn’t receive an e-mail when i was approved. I went back on the site to check my status and had to enter my social security number and name, then the site said I would receive my card in 3-5 working days, which is when i received it. I was thinking an e-mail would have been appropriate, but maybe it’s for security reasons.

@jenniepie04 you are not alone. I have checked maybe 3 times lol. My initial approval stated 3-5 days but I was told 7-9 days by the rep.

I was approved for Discover IT on March 17, and at that time I asked the CSR if I would receive a confirmation email? "No, but your card will arrive in 5-7 days." It arrived on March 22.

Well I finally received my email.  It states I will receive the card in 3-5 business days.  Lets see the time difference on when I received the email and the time frame it gives and when I actually receive the card.  Stay tuned...

I got my new Discover IT card on March 13th. The CSR who processed my application told me I'd get an email within a couple of days; however, I never did get it. However, I did get the USPS tracking alert (I subscribe to Informed Delivery, which is free and which I strongly recommend) on the 15th when the card went out from Salt Lake City, and received the card on Saturday March 17 - very fast work, actually faster than when I got my first Discover last year.

I also had a bit of a delay with getting an email from Discover.  I applied and was approved for a Discover credit card on March 21, but I didn't get the email until yesterday.  I'm hoping to get my credit card by the end of this week.

I apped and was approved on the 22nd.  Was told by the CSR that I will receive it by the end of the week.  It was shipped out on Monday.
