Will Discover give a CLI every 91 days if you don't ask?

My credit limit with Discover is now $27,500.  It started at $7,500 May 2014.  I spend about 3k monthly on the card and pay in full each month.

I have been a Discover card holder for 25 years. They never gave me an automatic increase during that time. I always PIF so the only income they received was through merchant fees.

I did receive a "manually requested" increase of $5k by talking to a CSR. Then 60 to 65 days later I put in an on-line increase request and received another $6k the next day. Requested CLIs do not generate an HP with Discover  ... unless you push for more than they offer. Best to avoid that situation - IMO.

Started my Discover at $5k, got a couple of small CLIs.  When the luv button started working, I started hitting it.  Raised to $15K.  Then last time I hit it, got denied.  Oh well, figured I'd just wait.  Next thing I know it was raised to $20K.  I figured that was more than I would ever need, so I just leave it.

My CC goals...LOL..They have been generous with me considering, and every 91 days like clock work, I get $500. My fist goal is to just get my card to your SL, LMAO!!  Im hoping by this time next year, my card is sitting at $5k

LOL..Thanks Shogun,,,Ill be cutting loose some of those store cads thoroughout next year though, just too many, LOL..PLus, just trying to get myself self up better in the long run for any better approvals for major cards.
