Will all my Synchrony cards suffer?

Hello. I recently posted about my horrible debt situation and how it has affected my ability to pay cards. However, recently fell into a small lump sum of money and was able to pay off dime debt. My issue is my Care Credit card. I fear it's going to go into collection. If this happens, will all my synchrony cards be affected? None of the others have a balance at all. I really hate this.

It's definitely possible and very likely they would shut down your other accounts unfortunately, but no one can really tell you for sure.

If you let a card default they most certainly would go the AA route. Synchrony has closed entire accounts for much less

Would they ever let me have an account Shaun in the future? Like when this falls off my report? I really love them.

Falling off the report doesn't mean much when dealing with a bank you had burned in some way.  All FI keep records going back as long as they like, so they will know.  The credit report just lets other institutions know what is going on, and once bad stuff falls off the report, they have no knowledge of the incident.

I don't think Sych is that forgiving, but others will know better.

EDITED to add critical "no" before knowledge!

Why not call them and see if they can help?

This! Most banks want you to pay even if slower or at a reduced apr. They make nothing/lose money on sending you to collections.

Re: Will all my Synchrony cards suffer?

Synchrony has a hardship program with several potential options, they evaluate your financial circumstances to determine if you qualify.  You should expect that if accepted into the program your Synchrony cards will either be locked or closed and they may update your credit reports that you have entered into a hardship program, but  if you call they can discuss.

If you call they can review, just be sure you understand all of the conditions they will impose if you agree to enter the program.

My advice is to bite the bullet and keep making payments.
